The brain is made of 3 parts : the cerebrum,  the cerebellum and the medula oblongata.


The cerebrum is made up of 2 hemispheres, each made up of 4 parts : the frontal lobe,  the temporal lobe, the parietal lobe and the occipital lobe.

The limbic system


  • processing and regulating of emotions

  • the formation and storage of memories, sexual arousal, and learning

  • important element in the body’s response to stress



The Amygdala, your emotional core


While scientists don't agree on all the structures that make up the limbic system, the 2 following are agreed on (1 of each in each of the 2 lobes) : the amygdala and the hippocampus.
