Unleash your English Mojo

By Feriel

You get by in English, but
you're not feeling the language

plate

You get by in English, but you're not feeling the language. You don't have fun speaking it. You feel like you've been trying forever, but you keep making the same mistakes over and over again. You're disappointed and frustrated. In your head, you sound like an actor from your favorite movie, but when you open your mouth, you feel like a 5-year-old.

You walk out of a meeting in English during which you had a million things you wanted to say but couldn't. Every word got stuck somewhere between your brain and your mouth. You're dying for a coffee, but you're afraid to go to the coffee machine and find an English colleague there. If anyone talks to you, you might answer, "are you talking to me?" like Robert DeNiro.

Or maybe you have a hobby you're passionate about, but English keeps getting in the way because everything about it is in English. You really want to go to this convention, but you're terrified at the idea of having to actually talk to people in real life. What if some people ask you to join them for a drink or for dinner? All you can think about is the number of beers it would take for you to feel confident enough to express your opinions and feel better than you would if you stayed alone in your hotel room.

What if speaking English
made you feel good?

Imagine finally having fun speaking English, feeling super confident now that you know you’re able to achieve something you had almost given up on.  In your head, you sound like you, and you’re happy with that. You’re not holding yourself back anymore.

You’re not afraid of expressing yourself during meetings and even calling someone out on their BS. During the break, you go to the coffee machine and seize the opportunity to talk to your English colleagues about whether or not Tom Cruise should really be making another Mission Impossible movie because you can talk about anything you want.

You’re creating links and relationships with your English-speaking colleagues outside of meetings. You feel great having a beer or a bite after work. You’re not feeling held back anymore. You feel relief.

You can take your hobby to a whole new level, and deep down, you might even want to make it a career someday.  You go to conferences and conventions, no longer thinking about averting your eyes from anyone trying to talk to you. Actually, you make eye contact, and you ask people if they want to have dinner because you don’t care about what anyone thinks of your English. You’re just loving it.

Ready to see what this package includes?

Before our session together, you’ll receive a few questions to answer in English for me to have an idea of your level. You’ll also receive a questionnaire that will give us an idea of what type of learner you are. This information is a good starting point to understand how you learn best. Finally, I’ll ask you to watch a short video about the brain. This will give you some understanding of how your brain works - trust me; this will be very useful moving forward. This first step will get you ready for our session together.

Let's explore together

We'll then meet for a 90-minute session to talk about your motivation, vision, and how to get from one to the other. Together we'll determine the goals you want to reach and figure out which specific actions will get you there. By the end of our session, you'll be very clear on what particular part of the language you need to work on. You'll have defined exactly in which situations you want to improve your English and precisely by what date. You'll also be aware of what you can do to keep your brain calm and in the best possible state for learning and speaking English nervousness-free.

After our meeting, you’ll have 2 weeks to implement the actions outlined in your plan, explore different activities discussed during the session, and find out how you learn best. Using the information about the brain discussed during the session, you’ll spend the next week observing how your mind responds to different situations when faced with English. Paying attention to your reactions is an eye-opening experience.

You will have access to me through e-mail. I will answer any doubts and questions you might have during those 2 weeks.

Now try on your own
(I won't be far)

How did it go?

We’ll talk again for 30 minutes at the end of the 2 weeks to discuss what you’ve learned. At this point, you’ll know a bit more about how you learn, what you can realistically ask of yourself, and if your actions were as efficient as you wanted them to be. You’ll be able to identify your stress triggers and understand your reactions to the English language. We’ll talk about what’s worked for you, what hasn’t, and why. Prepare any questions you might have about the process or how you feel.

You’re finally taking charge of your language learning

this time, you’re in the driver’s seat, and you have a GPS (me!) that will take you exactly where you want to go. I ‘m giving you the tools, the support, and the guidance you need to feel confident about your English and use it how and whenever you want.
