Whether to watch a tv-show (series) or a movie with subtitles or not is a question that we all get when we're language coaches, trainers or teachers.

The next question is whether the subtitles should be in original version or in our native language.

The 1st thing I did was to learn the Greek alphabet before my trip to Greece (in 2020). When I got there, I mean the minute I got off the plane, I felt like I was 5 again, trying to read every word around me. Music can help you learn on so many levels.

Among many different reasons, it can make you learn because of the hormones that are released in your body when you listen to music. 

It can also help you learn when you choose to listen to music with lyrics in the language you're amaing to improve.

Do we ever know a language completely? Probably not.
